Medill Local Travel Reimbursement

Medill students are eligible to apply for limited and approved reimbursement for local, Chicago-bound transportation costs related to reporting work in this course. Medill students receiving Financial Aid may apply for up to $150 in reimbursement. Medill students not receiving Financial Aid are eligible to apply for up to $75 in reimbursement. Reimbursable transportation expenses include: public transit fare, taxis, ride-booking services such as Uber, parking and car rental.

This reimbursement option is only available to undergraduate Medill students who are enrolled in some 300-level Evanston-based Medill journalism courses. Reimbursement payments will be processed after final grades post. Students must earn a final quality grade in a course in order to receive a reimbursement payment.
