Student Enrichment Services Winter Gear Program

In partnership with generous donors and Northwestern Athletics, SES provides winter gear to lower-income students who cannot afford outerwear that is sufficient for cold weather and snow. The Winter Gear program includes coats, scarves, gloves, hats, and boots (boots are provided on a case by case basis). Winter Gear is a limited program, intended for students who would not have access to quality outerwear without the additional funding. Eligibility is based on financial need, as verified through the Office of Undergraduate Financial Aid.

How to Apply:
Applications for Winter Gear will be available via the SES One Form on Tuesday, October 8, 2019. Please note: You must complete BOTH the General SES One Form Basic Profile (General application) AND the Winter Gear application. Students who have previously received Winter Gear are not eligible to apply again this year.

Important Reminders: Winter Gear is provided on a first-come, first-served basis. We advise that students plan ahead and apply as soon as possible. Distribution of Winter Gear will begin the week of November 4th.

  1. Our manufacturer sizes coats based on gender. The women style coats tend to be smaller and cut closer to the body. The men style coats are larger with a straight shape. Aesthetically – both coats are similar. Please select based on fit that you desire, not on gender.
